Comprehensive renewable energy brand United Renewable Energy (URE, 3576) announced today (30th) that its “Full-Black Aesthetic Module” has officially obtained both the National Voluntary Product Certification (VPC) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) certification. The module is also expected to receive UL certification from Underwriters Laboratories in the United States in the third quarter of this year. Following the certification of the M10 TOPCon module in 2024, this marks another milestone as URE continues to provide efficient and visually appealing solutions that support society’s transition toward net-zero goals.
URE Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Chen-Po Yu stated: “The Full-Black Aesthetic Module extends the high-performance characteristics of the TOPCon series. With standardized specifications, optimized layout, and a lightweight bifacial design, it offers a new option for global markets seeking both power performance and architectural aesthetics. URE will continue investing in research and development to explore integrated applications of solar energy with architecture, energy storage, and smart energy systems, providing more comprehensive and intelligent green-energy solutions to build a better and more sustainable future together.”
Three key features address market needs, balancing design aesthetics, power performance, and sustainability trends
The newly dual-certified “Full-Black Aesthetic Module” features a unique bifacial black-grid design, paired with black busbars, a full-black frame, and specially color-adjusted solar cells—delivering optimal aesthetic results while offering three major advantages:
Aiming at rooftop module demand and expanding global markets
URE’s Full-Black Aesthetic Module targets distributed rooftop installations, particularly in residential, commercial, and public facilities where visual appearance, structural load, and overall aesthetic integration are key considerations. The module provides a lightweight, low-glare, visually cohesive solution tailored for such applications.
Market trends show that the United States has a high level of acceptance for full-black modules, frequently used in premium residential projects and public infrastructure where visual uniformity and architectural integration are critical. With UL certification expected in Q3, URE is also planning to expand its presence in the North American market, continuously advancing module technology and diversifying its product offerings to meet demand both domestically and internationally.
