NSP Clarifies Speculation over Looming EU Solar Probe

Neo Solar Power Corporation (3576 TT) (“NSP”, or “the Company”), a world-class leading producer of high quality solar cells, dismissed the speculation that the EU will launch an investigation against China solar module makers and their suppliers, including those from Taiwan to illegally help China solar companies to evade import restrictions. NSP responded and clarified the speculation as below:

  1. NSPhasneverhelpedChinacustomersforillegallyevadingtheEUSolarminimumimport price and quota.
  2. NSPproductswhichexporttoEuropeancustomersaremajorityindirectshipment.
  3. According to the 2013 consensus between EU and China government, China-origin products are still subject to the minimum price and annual import quantity limits even if China companies buy Taiwan cells, assemble them into modules, and then ship to Europe. Therefore there is no business and financial incentive for China companies of doing so.
  4. If there indeed exist such company helping China customers to do relabeling with alternate import origins certificate, it was such company’s wrong conduct and has nothing to do with NSP.
